Pelvic girdle pain usually relates to trouble that starts during pregnancy and delivery, but it can have wider implications.
As the name suggests it can cover any of the muscles and joints in the pelvic area from the base of the spine to your hips and down to your upper legs, including the groin area.
These hard to visualise joints are very strong and tough, and sit where your pelvis meets your spine. In pregnancy everything loosens up to allow for delivery, but can lead these joints open to strain and mis-position.
This refers to a join at the front between two bones of your pelvis. If there are strains in your back, hips or pelvis, the joint here can be strained and very painful. This generally responds very well to an overall balancing treatment to take the strain off.
Here tissues across the sole of the foot, sometimes especially where it meets the heel, are overstressed, chronically tight and inflamed, and very painful.
