in pregnancy and new motherhood
The changes new or expecting mothers go through – be they physical, emotional or hormonal – while exciting, can be stressful. Many women experience the following: anxiety, discomfort with weight gain and physical changes, hormonal ups and downs, sexual difficulties, fear of delivery, birth trauma, postnatal depression, coping with a newborn, process of bonding, going from a couple to a family, and loss of identity. Talking to a caring, unbiased professional can be a powerful support during these times when you may be slightly unsure how to cope. Psychotherapy can be beneficial to your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Sessions are usually weekly and last approximately an hour. During the session, you and the therapist work together to identify and understand what you are feeling and how it is affecting you.
Benefits include
  • Reduced anxiety and stress level,
  • Feeling more in control
  • Improved perspective on self and life
  • A better understanding of yourself and your patterns
  • Improved relationships

Counselling was the best thing I could have done for myself while going through the IVF process. IVF was the most intense experience I ever had and I felt very alone throughout it. Holli was an incredible support and without her I don’t know how I would have gotten through it all. I would highly recommend anyone going through IVF to be sure to have counselling alongside. There are so many ups and downs and no one should have to go through it alone.

malgosia Zamolska, Homeopath at fulham osteopaths

Malgosia Zamolska

homeopathy
MA, MARH, MLCHom
Registered Homeopath, Flower Essence Practitioner and Dowser
I came into contact with homeopathy when I became ill with shingles, and was amazed how quickly the homeopathic remedies I was treated with restored my energy levels, and helped me regain my emotional balance. As a result of this amazing encounter with the healing powers of these remedies, I decided to become a homeopath myself. I completed my training at the Lakeland College of Homeopathy, and am registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths. I am passionate about homeopathy, especially its role in treating hormonal disorders and infertility.

As an alternative medicine practitioner, I believe in an integrated approach to healthcare – one which recognises the importance of treating the mental, emotional and physical facets of ourselves, all of which are interconnected. I facilitate people’s own healing journeys, to help them overcome the emotional and physical blocks to fulfilling their potential as individuals. I believe that homeopathy is one of the most profound and deepest reaching forms of healing, capable of shifting blocks ranging from inherited predispositions, to environmental or dietary toxicity acquired through the course of our lives. As a practitioner I am deeply committed to being a facilitator of such a profound healing process. As a London homeopath, I run a general clinic treating adults and children of all ages but specialise in treating hormonal disorders and infertility issues. I treat women suffering from irregular periods, burn out or fatigue. I also provide them with homeopathic support in case of emotional blocks, which can all lead to infertility and problems conceiving.
I am an accredited therapist for the Foresight Association, which is a nation-wide organisation offering specialist services for people wishing to conceive. I support my patients with additional advice on preconception health care based the Foresight Association model, which aims to eliminate health issues that have been proven by researchers to lead to infertility.
Life as a young family can be challenging, both physically as well as emotionally. Homeopathy has helped all of us cope with these challenges, whether before during and after pregnancy, the children’s constant coughs and colds, psoriasis…

Susan Janikowski
reflexology
( BSc Hons, MAR, NIMH)

I am a reflexologist, practitioner of the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal
Therapy ® and medical herbalist with over 15 year experience in holistic healthcare. My passion is supporting women with natural solutions through all cycles of life from the fertile years to menopause and beyond. In particular, my practice focuses on women’s reproductive health, including natural fertility, preconception and pregnancy, as well as post-natal recovery and menopause support. In cases where clients are unable to come to the clinic during pregnancy and postnatally, I offer home visits.
I support single women and couples at various stages of their fertility journeys, including those undergoing assisted fertility cycles, including IUI, IVF, ICSI or donor egg cycles.
I feel hugely blessed to be in service doing what I love and introducing clients to the benefits these powerful hands on therapies and medicinal plants. As part of my bodywork sessions I bring in Reiki healing to enhance effects of the therapy. My practise is constantly evolving as I add new skills and research in holistic health to provide an integrated approach to healing.
