Hanna’s been a valued member of our team for over 15 years. Her skilful blend of acupuncture and nutritional therapy gives her treatments an edge and depth you’ll struggle to find elsewhere.

Hanna Evans Lic Ac MBAaC dipNUT BANT

Hanna is a highly experienced acupuncturist and nutritionist offering a unique combination of both skills in her treatments.

Her style of acupuncture stands out as being both traditionally holistic and caring as well as getting to the root of complicated cases with up-to-date diagnostic testing.

She’s well known in the area for the amount of babies she’s helped women conceive and birth as well as for her warmth and hands-on care and support.

She specialises in all areas of women’s health; especially hormonal, menstrual, pre-conception and fertility, IVF support and fertility preparation, peri-menopause and menopause.

Her patients come for help with morning sickness, pelvic pain, sciatica, headaches, ‘moxa’ to turn breech babies; and for birth preparation and labour induction.

She helps with migraines, digestive problems, anxiety, insomnia, depression and pain and weight management management.

She orders functional tests, stool tests, food intolerance profiles, thyroid and hormonal panels, the DUTCH Test and plans individually tailored dietary and supplement programmes.

She trained in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Five Element Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Medicine in Reading and is a long-term member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAaC).

She completed a further three year diploma with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).

According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body's motivating energy - known as qi - moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of meridians (channels) beneath the skin. The flow of qi can be disturbed by many factors, physical, mental and emotional: anxiety, stress, anger, fear or grief, poor nutrition, weather conditions, hereditary factors, infections, poisons and trauma. By inserting fine needles into the channels of energy, an acupuncturist can stimulate the body's own healing response and help to restore its natural balance.

FAQ

"I had had morning-sickness before…but this time it was worse. I was vomiting 4-8 times a day and could hardly keep anything down. I was eating very little and was worried that I might have to take time off work. Coinciding with commencing acupuncture my nausea and vomiting were reduced significantly and seemed better than at the same stage in my other pregnancies when I had no acupuncture. I had tried many other remedies in my last two pregnancies with little success…acupuncture is the first thing that really helped me."
